#  José Correa: New CRCS Visiting Scholar

CRCS welcomes its newest Visiting Scholar, [José Rafael Correa](/people/jose-rafael-correa), who is visiting from the Universidad de Chile.

José obtained a M.S. in [Applied Math](http://www.dim.uchile.cl/), from U. Chile in 1999 and a PhD in [Operations Research](http://mit.edu/orc) from MIT in 2004. He was then a postdoc in [Computer Science](http://www.dcc.uchile.cl/) at U. Chile, and later moved to the School of Business at U. Adolfo Ibáñez as an assistant professor. Since August 2008, he is an associate professor at U. de Chile.
