# Haipeng Chen CRCS Postdoctoral Fellow ![Haipeng Chen](/sites/g/files/omnuum6171/files/styles/hwp_4_5__320x400/public/crcs/files/img_people_haipeng_chen.jpg?itok=HrNL_bfG) email laptop\_windows [Homepage](https://haipeng-chen.github.io/) I am a postdoc in the Department of Computer Science, Harvard University from July 2020, where I will work with Professor [Milind Tambe ](https://teamcore.seas.harvard.edu/people/milind-tambe)and Professor [Hima Lakkaraju ](https://himalakkaraju.github.io/). Previously I did my first postdoc in the Department of Computer Science, Dartmouth College from July 2018, working with Professor [V.S. Subrahmanian](http://home.cs.dartmouth.edu/~vs/). I obtained my PhD from Interdisciplinary Graduate School (IGS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in 2018, where I was advised by Professor [Bo An](https://www.ntu.edu.sg/home/boan/index.html). I got my B.S. in Physics from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2013. I study AI techniques that help understand the world and benefit the society. In particular, I am interested in reinforcement learning, graph/network-structured learning models, deep generative models, and predictive decision making. I am also interested in social aspects of AI systems such as interpretability, fairness and safety. I work on *graph data*, *textual data*, *time-series data*, and *multi-modal data*), in domains such as *cybersecurity*, *online social networks*, *public health* and *transportation*.
