My research centers on the theoretical and empirical foundations of machine learning. I am particularly interested in studying the downstream consequences, and feedback loops, that arise when predictions are used to make decisions about people. At Harvard, I am hosted by Prof. Cynthia Dwork and the Harvard Center for Research on Computation and Society. Previously, I was a graduate student at the University of California, Berkeley where I was advised by Peter Bartlett and Moritz Hardt. I did my undergrad in CS and Math at Harvard.
